This event was held on Thursday 12 May and featured CCB and BSSC students participating in the showing of Alpacas (supplied by Yenaminut Alpaca Stud) and Dexter cattle and Polwarth sheep (with support from Homeleigh Polwarths).

The show aims to provide students with experience in the show ring, gain valuable feedback from experienced judges and showcase the La Valla Trade Training facilities. Students are also involved in key roles during the show, including Master of Ceremonies, Marshalls, Stewards and Environmental Control. This year’s judges included Jim Wardrope (Mandelay Park Dexters), Ian Dean (Tarali Lodge Dexters), Heather Burn (Breenburn Alpacas) and Darby Daniel (student). Stockman Awards were presented to James Naughton and Declan Thomas, with Encouragement Awards presented to Claire Lacey and Chloe Bowles. Chloe played a key role in training students for the showing of the Dexter. Congratulations to the students and their Agriculture teachers, Dani Weeks and Gay Whitehead, for wonderful demonstrations of skilled training which engaged the audience.
