La Valla TTC Agriculture Show

The 2015 Australian Sheep & Wool Show

The Australian Sheep and Wool Show was held over three days at the Bendigo Showgrounds on Friday 17th – Sunday 19th July. Melbourne Royal Alpaca Show

Over the last weekend of the school holidays four Certificiate II Agriculture students attended the Melbourne Royal Alpaca Show and competed in the Youth Paraders Competition. This complements the unit ‘Plan to Exhibit Livestock’ unit. The competition is split into two sections, the Showmanship and Stockmanship Sections and classes depending on individual experience.

Engineering Taster Course

A group of year 10 Catholic College students completed a taster course at the Park Rd facility as an introduction to engineering. Running over 10 weeks the students focused on welding and created a barbeque hotplate. Completing the taster course will help the students decide if they continue engineering study into years 11 and 12.

After loving my work placement at Hoffman Engineering, I applied for the apprenticeship after I finished Year 11, but they encouraged me to complete Year 12. So now I am set up with the skills to manage my apprentice trade training
